H.E. Mr. Nemanja Stevanovic, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Serbia to the United Nations, spoke to Mr. Serge Brammertz, Chief Prosecutor for the International Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, ahead of the Security Council meeting on the six-month Report of the Mechanism. They agreed that the cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Prosecutor’s Office is going well. They exchanged views on the situation in the region within a context of regional cooperation of national prosecutor’s offices for war crimes. It was also ascertained that in some areas, regional cooperation can be improved.
