Due to having been invited by the Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the UN H.E. Mr. Z. Jun and UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Mr. L. Junhua, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Serbia to the UN H.E. Mr. N. Stevanović on September 14, 2022 participated at the Launching Event of "Partnership for a Brighter Shared Future: Progress Report on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Support of the United Nations 2030 Agenda“. The report was officially present in presence of eleven more permanent representatives from Argentina, Ethiopia, Greece, Lao PDR, Russian Federation, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt and Chile. After the opening remarks and keynotes statement from the hosts, Ambassador N. Stevanović had а notable address, during the interactive dialogue of the participants, speaking about the importance of the Belt and Road Initiative on a global level as well as Chinese investments in the Republic of Serbia.
