Delegation of Republic of Serbia led by H.E. Ms. Jelena Begović, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation participated at the ministerial segment of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development under the auspices of ECOSOC (17 – 20 July).

During the general debate Minister Begović delivered speech on the topic: „Building momentum towards the 2023 SDG Summit: Transformation for accelerating implementation of the SDGs”, highlighting the initiative of Serbia regarding the proclamation of the International Decade of Science for Sustainability.  Minister Begović also met H.E. Mr. Csaba Kőrösi, President of the 77th Session of the UN GA, discussing the important role of science in multilateralism.

She took a part in the side event on financing the sustainable development: "Turning Financing Frameworks into Action", organized at the margins of the HLPF by the governments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Indonesia and Republic of Serbia in cooperation with the SIDA Sweden, UNCDF and UNDP.

Minister Begović also met with the Mr. Haoliang Xu, Under-Secretary-General and UNDP Associate Administrator.
